Brooke Brim Voice
Brooke specializes in voice lessons for children and adults. She teaches musical theater, singing and speaking voice, vocal health and wellness, voice physiology, and performance coaching. With focus on overall wellness, confidence building, vocal stamina, and quality.
When I teach voice, I look at each student as an individual with specific goals and needs. I create a structured voice plan for each of my students, and tailor a plan based off evidence. Some of these interventions include relaxation, posture, vocal resonance, vowel use, and coordination of air use with vocalization. Some techniques I use to facilitate learning are alexander technique, Feldenkrais method, and speech level singing.
The voice studio is a safe place to explore and habilitate your singing and speaking voice. Habilitation is key to vocal longevity and a self-care mindset matters. I use scientifically based vocal warm-ups and strengthening exercises based on research to strengthen and build vocal skill sets.

About Brooke
Vocal Coach-Teacher
The most important skill set a performer can have is confidence in themselves and their vocal abilities. Brooke focuses on the individual student, their voice, their goals, and their vocal wellness. Each client's development and journey is important to me. It's the small everyday gains that bring joy while teaching, whether it is belting that high note for the first time with clarity, building up the courage to audition for the first time, or developing a strong clear voice for the board room or class room.
She has been coaching for over 20 years, private voice, group voice, musical theater, and dance in studios that have Broadway level standards. Taught students in Utah, Washington D.C. and Idaho. Her students have been cast on Broadway and regional theaters, been selected for school and county advanced choirs, been accepted to top college performing arts programs, and placed in the Miss Utah competition.
Brooke has extensive professional experience as an actor in regional theater and theme park settings. Graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Communication Science Disorders and Deaf Education, the University of Utah with a degree in English and Theater, and holds a Certificate in acting from accredited American Conservatory Theater in San Fransisco. Currently she is pursuing a Masters in Speech Language Pathology specializing in Vocology (the science of voice and the practice of vocal habilitation).
Mothering 4 boys has taught me to think like a teacher. We must have a research based mindset, when training and working with voice development. I understand the importance of individuality, and setting functional goals for families and what works for one family may not be for another. I celebrate small wins and feel that a life well lived is one where families can come together and celebrate life and joy. I am passionate about community outreach and education about diverse populations who become marginalized due to speech related disorders, and want to bring our community together and become better overall.
